Worship is beholding truth and finding it wonderful.
&lt;p&gt;
Physics had a profound influence on my understanding of worship.  I sought the solid order of equations to escape the unstable ground of emotion.  The world could be described in beautiful equations apart from frenzied emotion.  Yet, in upheaval, worship grabbed me from behind.  All of a sudden, I realized I could not explain why I rose in my seat in riveting wonder as derivations unfurled.  Beyond the equations, I was stupefied by the capacity for wonder.  We were made for wonder.  Worship is beholding truth and finding it wonderful. Blindness and desecration is truth with disinterest.
&lt;p&gt;
Beauty is simple and at the same time massively entangled.  	The following are a sample of equations that exceedingly match this criteria.
&lt;p&gt;

The research is stimulating in its own right, however the process and non technical items that I learned along the way are more significant.  Discipline, planning and procrastination need to be taken up with a fight. Reading, writing and arithmetic are fundamental basics that I am just beginning to learn.
&lt;p&gt;

This research focuses on the disturbance estimation problem. A survey of existing techniques is first conducted, where extensive plant knowledge for state estimation is contrasted with less plant knowledge for disturbance estimation. To advance the latter methodology and to reduce over-dependence on model information in the former, the boundary between a model and disturbance is redrawn. With this redefined boundary, existing methods are improved. Furthermore, to make the estimators optimal as well as practical, a new concept of practical optimality is introduced. Several novel design techniques are developed and initial results show advantages over current disturbance estimators. Finally, the disturbance estimation techniques are applied to health monitoring of dynamic systems. Two engineering examples are used to demonstrate the effectiveness and practicality of the new methods, including the health monitoring of a servomechanism and the fault diagnosis of a three-tank level control system.

&lt;em&gt;Dr. Aaron Radke received a minor in Computer Science, a BA in Physics, and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2001 from &lt;a href='http://www.csuohio.edu/'&gt;Cleveland State University&lt;/a&gt; Summa Cum Laude. Then he obtained industry experience at Western Enterprises, and consulting work experience in circuit design, embedded system design and software development. Later, he received a MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2002 from CSU where he combined his interests in physics, computer science and electrical engineering in control theory by creating a computer assisted control design platform.   In 2006, he received a Doctorate in Engineering while working on a unique disturbance observer for control system health monitoring. Research strengths and interests include physics, mathematics, computer science, computer architecture, UNIX operating systems, embedded systems, algorithms, software development, control system theory, observer design, and computer languages.  Research grant projects included digital control algorithms for NASA and advanced control algorithm development and implementation for the &lt;a href='http://cact.csuohio.edu/'&gt;Center for Advanced Control Technologies&lt;/a&gt;. Publications have dealt with observer design variants with a focus on disturbance observers for advanced control algorithms.  For the past number of years he has been involved in industry.  He is currently employed by &lt;a href='http://www.lockheedmartin.com/'&gt;Lockheed Martin&lt;/a&gt; while providing his own consulting services on the side.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;p&gt;
